The Mindset of A Champion

The Mindset of A Champion

We are all greater than we know! Each and every one of us has been given the opportunity to be as great as we want to be. We are all born with our own individual gifts and are responsible to share these gifts with the world. Your mindset will help you achieve greatness.

Growing up in Chicago, IL, I am, and will always be a huge Chicago Bears fan, but being a fan is just a small piece of the puzzle. Football is far more than just a game to me; it demands dedication and discipline, it teaches the value of unity, it asks you to push yourself further than you thought you could ever go and it represents unity.

Through football, I was able to learn how to push through and overcome any obstacle. I was told I was too small, too slow, and just flat out not good enough. I remember my College coach telling me that I would NEVER play for him…then later telling me that I was the most improved and hardest working player he has ever coached!

It was because of my hard work and perseverance that I was able to play 8 years of professional football. Which also gave me the opportunity to travel the world, get uncomfortable in unfamiliar places, meet new people from different cultures, learn different ideas, and grow as a human being. These experiences and ideas are what helped shape Athlete University. We get uncomfortable, we work hard, we persevere…WE TAKEOVER!

There will always be people that will doubt you, but you can never doubt yourself. No matter what your goal is, no matter how long it takes you, as long as you are determined and willing to work hard…anything is possible!
